Special shout out to D'Angelo (our waiter) he was just wonderful.
You can't go wrong with Waffle House, in expensive, good portion and just simple fulfilling meals! When in doubt, Waffle House always comes through. -

This is actually my first time at a Waffle House.
It's a typical diner with diner food. It was a good experience but I'm not sure if I would come again. There are so many brunch/breakfast places now so it would be hard to come back unless I was out at 3 am. Which I rarely am...
I got the waffles, eggs, toast, grits, and bacon.
I ate some of my friend's hash browns with smothered onions (although I didn't see much onion in it). Now I need to try OPH... -

The food is always good. I mean you can't beat waffle house's waffles! The service wasn't that good and they gave me a cup of water that was damaged, obviously that's a health violation. Not very high expectations though, I mean I went in here in my pajamas hungover.

I have eaten at many a Waffle House in and around the United States over the years, and this location at Lindbergh is the most busted-ass one I have ever patronized. I have been here twice, because I never base a review on just one visit. I was in the restaurant business for a decade, and I know things can go wrong. The A/C was set to sub-zero both times, the place was dirty, and the majority female employees were more focused on some kind of drama than serving customers.
The first visit was at 7AM, and the sausage gravy must have been left over from a while back, because it smelled like, well...ass. The server was completely oblivious to this. I literally recoiled when she put the plate down in front of me because it was so pungent. Her response: "Oh really? lemme get them to make some fresh gravy" You damn right, girl.
On the second visit, also at 7AM, I decided to get my order to go because of the frigid temperature inside the store. After I placed my order, the cook disappeared. Meanwhile, an employee behind the counter began typing on her phone and exclaimed to one of her co-workers "I finna light him up!" You go girl...whatever. After 3 minutes, I was informed that they were OUT OF HASH BROWNS. This is WAFFLE HOUSE...it's a core menu item! That's like IHOP running out of pancake mix! I am very disappointed because this store is right on my way to work and is very convenient, but I will never return. Nobody seems to give a rip about anything here. -

Well, if you're ever here when Shaunta is at the helm you're in for s treat. She serves great food (whilst being the gal at the griddled and at the table) all this a smile and a great sense of humor. Talk about someone that can take your business to the next level...
